Ice Cream Theme this Week
Wow, it’s Tuesday already…I was away this past weekend visiting with my best friend and the time just flew by. I had a great weekend but glad to be back sharing with you.
This week I’m even more excited because it’s Ice Cream Week as our theme! Yep, you read it right, all things Ice Cream. I couldn’t be more excited to share recipes, crafts and activities all week long related to everyone’s favorite sweet aka ice cream.
Easy to make Ice Cream Sandwiches
Here’s what we used to make our own ice cream sandwiches.
Cookies
Vanilla Ice Cream
Chocolate Ice Cream
Sprinkles & Cake Ice Cream
Assorted Sprinkles
First I put a few scoops of each flavor into small bowls, and then placed those into the freezer until I was ready with cookies and sprinkles. In the meantime I grabbed my cookies, placed them on a platter and put some assorted sprinkles in to a small bowl.
After 10 or 15 minutes I removed my ice cream flavors from the freezer and let the fun begin. Scoop your ice cream flavor directly onto your cookie then sandwich the two cookies together. You can even roll your sandwich in sprinkles to add a little more color and of course sugar.
Building your own ice cream sandwiches is such a blast for the kids, but let me warn you - it’s messy! The ice cream can melt pretty quickly so probably best to enjoy making these and eating them outdoors, if you can.
The toughest part is probably eating just 1, very tough….this I promise. If you’ve made all your ice cream sandwiches but have quite a few left-over, just place those in the freezer for later.
We used small 3 inch cookies but you could use larger cookies or even homemade ones, making your ice cream sandwiches unique and tasty too!
Add your favorite ice cream flavor + cookies, and you’ve got yourself a scrumptious treat. Enjoy!
Who knew, making your own ice cream sandwiches could be SO easy. Now you do, and I promise your whole family will be so glad you made these.
You like sweets? Well then, stop by all week for more Ice Cream recipes, crafts, and activities. It’s going to be a fun week for sure!
What’s your favorite ice cream flavor?

This looks scrumptious. How can a person stay on a diet with all these “goodies” ideas???? LOL
I know right?!!! So tough, luckily these are a special treat for once in a while. It’s hard though, because I just love sweets!
Your kiddos probably love this week’s theme.
Your pictures are AMAZING. YUMMY!!!

Thank you for stopping by. I agree, once it melts it can be a little messy. My daughter ate hers quickly so no problem, my son on the other hand had some all over his face, but I guess that’s how you know it’s tasty, right?

Haha, too funny Julia. Isn’t it great to be able to make your own. You can use any cookie you like and ice cream which makes it perfect if you’re craving something specific too.
