It’s Ice Cream Week
Happy Friday! So glad you stopped by to finish your week here as a stop. All week long I’ve been featuring fun, and oh-yes, yummy ice cream treats. Since it’s Friday let’s kick start our weekend with one final sweet treat.
Ice Cream, you scream…we all scream for ice cream, and yes I just went there.
Ice Cream Cone Cupcakes
Here’s what you’ll need to make these amazingly delicious cupcakes.
Ingredients
1 Box - Pillsbury Funfetti Cupcake Mix + Ingredients listed on Box
1 to 2 Containers - Pillsbury Funfetti Vanilla Icing
24 - Flat bottom Ice Cream Cones
Assorted Sprinkles
Pre-heat your oven. Mix cake batter as instructed on the box. Divide batter evenly in the muffin cups. (I use an ice cream scooper filled) to keep the cupcake batter evenly divided.
Now you can place the ice cream cones upside down in each cupcake.
The trick to the perfect ice cream cone cupcake, just make sure you straighten the cones before placing into the oven.
Bake cupcakes for approx 16 minutes or until the box recommends. Remove and let cool. Once cupcakes are completely cooled (about 30 minutes) remove the paper baking cups.
Next, start frosting and decorating your cupcakes. I must’ve caught my daughter sneak quite a few extra sprinkles into her mouth, not the cupcake. These are tasty treats. It’s hard to believe these are cupcakes and not actual scoops of ice cream.
These cupcakes taste as good as they look, I promise. Perfect sweet + crunchy blend.
Store any left-overs you don’t eat into a loosely covered container. Biting into these cupcakes is the perfect mix of sweet with a bit of crunch. Who knew that baking a cupcake with a cone on top could taste so great. My kids will make sure to let you know what a great treat these Ice Cream Cone Cupcakes happen to be.
This fun sweet treat is possibly one of my favorite cupcakes. You could always bake these using your favorite cupcake mix and frosting flavor. Add chocolate chips, nuts, or other hard candies or fruits instead of regular sprinkles. So many ways to make these cupcakes the perfect creation for you and the family to enjoy.

My grand babies and I are definitely going to try this!
I hope you guys enjoy baking these Shirl, they are truly delicious and super easy to make too!
These look so good!! I remember my mom making these so many times for parties when I was in elementary school but I don’t think she every put them in a muffin tin like that. If I remember right, she kept trying to get the ice cream cones to stand on a cookies sheet. This looks SOO much easier lol.
Amber recently posted…Watermelon Seed Counting
I love that your mom used to make these Amber. Since you can add the cones right on top of the cake mix and then bake, it makes this recipe so easy and simple enough the kids can help. The sweet + crunchy combo is a problem for me, lol. I want to eat them all. I hope you have a great weekend!
Heather your so creative! I love seeing what you come up with. These cupcake cones would be great for me to take to my son’s preschool. Thank you for the great idea! Have a lovely weekend, Kim
