Fathers Day Pictures
Don’t you feel like every time you blink there’s something to celebrate? Now, I don’t mean this in a bad way, because of course celebrations are terrific. Maybe I just say this because I almost forgot Fathers Day this year… ooops. Can you believe that? My kids are blessed with a great dad and he deserves a fun day in celebration, but I honestly had the dates on my calendar mixed up for the following week. So I’m not that forgetful after-all. We are planning a weekend in Palm Springs to get away and “relax” in the pool. So, I did plan something after-all that not only dad would enjoy, but of course the whole family, including mom.
I absolutely love taking pictures, making collages, and framing photos. I wish their were more walls in my house to showcase all the photos I have framed. So of course, Fathers Day is no exception - I decided to get the kids outside, pose with some letters and make a fun collage for Dad. I also made something similar for Mothers Day this year, you can check it out here.
We ♥ Dad
My kids added their own spunky personality to each photo, which makes these even more precious to shoot. You could add props, or change the letters for another holiday or fun occasion and use it anytime.
I got these large letters from our craft store Michaels. The ones I used are in white, and the heart shape is just wood with no paint.
Next, I took each photo and put them all together into a collage. You could use Shutterfly for this and make a card, or prints. You could also use a mobile app on your phone like PicStitch, or of course PicMonkey is amazing too. Once you’re done making a collage you are all set to print, make your card or just share as-is, because every Dad loves photos of his kids in whatever way you choose to give it to him. We made some Fathers Day picture frames over the weekend, you can always use one of these ideas to frame your photo. Another special and from the heart gift Dad would love.
Have fun making your Fathers Day photos this year. I’d love to see what you come up with, share with me on Facebook or Instagram.
Happy Fathers Day

Heather, you have so many great ideas. Such a crafty mom. I wish I had the talent in me to be creative. I loved the father’s day frames you did also. Do you ever find you run out of room to hang pictures? Or do you change them out every so often? We take so many that there is not enough space.

Hi Lynda thanks for stopping by and for the nice compliment, much appreciated. I do run out of room with photos, so I do change them up every now and again. I’ve now starting making photo books which help showcase all our cool photos too, that helps. I’m always so inspired when I stop by your page. Where you live is just so beautiful. I’m originally from Northern Ca, and it’s gorgeous country up there + you have lots of wine tasting in your neck of the woods
Thank you…I have to get better at doing more books. I love Shutterfly. I am glad you enjoy my site and hopefully some recipes, I can’t do crafts, but I can cook LOL
Have a great day

Glad you like the photo idea Rachael. My kids enjoyed adding their own spice to each picture. You can tell they aren’t always thrilled, but it’s fun to capture that part of their personality too. I think any dad or grandpa will love these pictures, I hope you get to take them sometime
I found you yesterday through the #momsoninstagram hop, and now I stumble upon this in a link-up! And we have the same name! I feel like we need to be friends! haha! These are adorable!

You’re awesome Heather… what a great name by the way, lol! Did you find growing up there was always like 2 others in your class with the same name? I did, but honestly Heather’s are always some of my favorite people, I’m so glad we can connect and be friends, yeah!!! Thanks for stopping by, I’m now following you too.
Oh my gosh, yes! I graduated with 2 other Heathers. Such is life being born in the 80s!

Thanks Crystelle, these Fathers Day photos are a lot of fun to take, and then put together in a card - or just as a print if you wanted to. I just printed ours the other day for Dad. Hope you have a great weekend!
